Privacy Statement

This statement will be updated in line with new guidance as it becomes available.

Your personal data – what is it?

Personal data is information relating to a living individual who can be identified from that data. Examples of information that I collect include your name, date of birth, gender, contact details (address, email address, telephone numbers) and information about your health. The processing of personal data is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). Information relating to your health is classed as sensitive personal data under GDPR.

How do I collect your data?

I collect data directly from you during homeopathic consultations and through other communications with you (telephone, email, post, enquiry forms). I add to this information each time you come for a consultation with me.

How do I store your personal data?

I comply with my obligations under GDPR by keeping personal data up to date; by storing and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data; by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure and by ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data.

How do I use (process) your personal data?

I use your personal data to analyse the conditions for which you have consulted me and to select remedies for you.

I will also use your data for the following purposes:

· To contact you during your homeopathic treatment

· To inform you of changes to my working hours or fees

· To provide information relating to your health which I think you may find useful or interesting. You can opt out of receiving this information at any time.

I will communicate with you by email, text, telephone and by post.

Sharing your personal data

Your personal data will be treated as strictly confidential. It may be shared anonymously with my Supervisor if I consider that will benefit your treatment. It will not be shared with any other third parties unless you ask me to do so or I obtain explicit consent from you or when the information is required by a legal or statutory authority.

How long do I keep your personal data?

I will keep your personal data for at least 7 years following the last occasion on which treatment was given. In the case of treatment to children, records will be kept for at least 7 years after they reach the age of 18 years. This is to comply with the requirements of my insurer.

Your rights and your personal data

Unless subject to an exemption under GDPR, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data: -

· The right to request a copy of your personal data which I hold about you

· The right to request that I correct any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date

· The right to request your personal data is erased where it is no longer necessary for me to retain such data

· The right to withdraw your consent to the processing at any time

· The right to request that I provide you with your personal data and where possible, to transmit that data directly to another data controller, (known as the right to data portability), (where applicable)

· The right, where there is a dispute in relation to the accuracy or processing of your personal data, to request a restriction is placed on further processing

· The right to object to the processing of personal data, (where applicable)

· The right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioners Office.

Changes to this statement

If I wish to use your personal data for a new purpose, not covered by this Data Protection Notice, then I will provide you with a new notice explaining the new use prior to commencing the processing, and setting out the relevant purposes and processing conditions. Where and whenever necessary, we will seek your prior consent to the new processing.
